PDS Consulting was founded in 2001 by Peter D. Shapiro, Ph.D.

Peter D. Shapiro

Peter Shapiro is a Principal at PDS Consulting and is responsible for PDS Consulting's client assignments.

Earlier, as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at OrderTrust, a B2B provider of order management for e-commerce merchants, he developed new service concepts for emerging opportunities in iTV and mobile commerce, building on OrderTrust's existing order management platform.

As senior consultant and Principal at Arthur D. Little, Inc., specializing in cable and telecommunications, Peter Shapiro led marketing strategy, market assessments, and industry analyses for clients in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific including operators of telecommunications, satellite, and cable TV services, equipment suppliers, bankers, attorneys, and governments.

Peter Shapiro serves on the Board of Advisors of a VoIP services start-up that is targeting small business customers.

He holds a Ph.D. in Communications Research from Stanford University and a BA from University of British Columbia. Click here for printer-friendly biography of Peter Shapiro

PDS Consulting is an affiliate of Harvard University's Program on Information Resources Policy (PIRP) where Peter Shapiro served as a post-doctoral research fellow.
